I lent my skills to a fabrication studio for the construction of a NYC fire department call box replica.  Made of fiberglass, it will house a Play Station 4 gaming console and be used to entertain kids in a children’s hospital when it is finished.

MSGR Collaboration

Sunday, June 2nd, 2013

Recently I was commissioned by the owner of Japanese clothing label MSGR to create a limited run of resin skull/star keychains of their logo for an expo of theirs this summer.

The project had to be done quick and I had only about a month and a half to sculpt, mold, and produce a limited but high quantity for them and then ship them out to Japan in time for their show.  I am very happy to be collaborating with them as they produce very unique high end clothing and we both seam to have common interests.

I came into contact with the companies founder Katsuya Nakamura, through my two friends Mike AKA MeccaGodzilla and Ron D-Pi Wimberly, who have both collaborated with MSGR before.  Katsuya become interested in this collaboration when he saw one of my Zmbie head key chains and was interested if I could do something similar for him.MSGR_Collaboration_06

Here is a little preview of something else I have been working on.

Also MSGR’s web site is of cores so go check their stuff out.

Velociraptor Skeleton

Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013

My project for the last few months was commissioned by a team of artist/paleontologists who do castings in bronze of various dinosaur skeletons. They had been hoping to branch out and make some plastic castings of their work and so they contacted me having heard that I have worked extensively with mold making and polyurethane and was not too far from their workshop. my first commission was of the Velociraptor pictured above.

The project has been incredibly interesting, I have always liked dinosaurs and Velociraptor is one of my favorites.  The hope is that this piece will be sold to a museum as it is a casting of real dinosaur bones that were on loan from researchers in China.

Claws are always cool.

The skull is easily the best part.

“Lilith” skate deck, done for Designed to Perfection as an artist deck.  Start to finish my design. Original piece  9″ x 31″ ink and digital color.

Wednesday, December 14th, 2011

“Kid Shukuteki” original piece approximately 6″ x 4″ hand cast resin.  Designed by me and made in extremely limited quantities. Sold threw Designed to Perfection. Made in a red, blue, and full color version.

“Shukuteki” is a sort of urban samurai character, both a joke  of and an homage to 80s and 90s video game characters with a mix of the sudden surge in “street” culture and clothing.  Also styled in a form similar to many designer vinyl toys from such companies as “Secret Base”.
